which royal sits on the most powerful throne today? I know most rulers today are just figureheads but is there a ruler which can be described as being the most powerful?
Also which do you think is the richest and most powerful royal family and why?
I have looked up details on the net and it certainly is not the british royals because the queen is neither the richest nor the most powerful.

The Saudi royal family not many have a country named after them ,they also control most of the oil reserves in the world and can just about do anything and get away with it.

I think the Saudi family is most powerful, not because the country is named for them, but because they actually still RULE the country. They really make the decisions.
The Sultan of Brunei was the richest man in the world last time I heard any stats. I´m pretty sure that hasn´t changed.
