Empty Garden.
Lyrically incomparable with his other great stuff. Basically a requiem for John Lennon, his longtime friend. The last time Lennon played a live concert was with Elton John in 1974. Elton is still mourning his death as he has said in many interviews when speaking about this song. I feel with him and for him. A haunting tragedy in America.

Personally, I love every song of his. :] However, Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters, Amoreena, No Shoe Strings on Louise, Where's the Shoorah?, Harmony, Hymn 2000, Rock Me When He's Gone, Burn Down the Mission, Answer in the Sky, and Country Comfort are my top ten as of now. If you couldn't already tell, Elton's my fave, haha.

"Don't Go Breaking My Heart," with Kiki Dee, for the sheer fun of it.
Earlyish 70s EJ will always have a special place in my heart. A very dear and special cousin loved that music. He died when I was 15.

"Sacrifice"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZvL2N0bXhE
Its a human sign
When things go wrong
When the scent of her lingers
And temptations strong
Into the boundary
Of each married man
Sweet deceit comes calling
And negativity lands
Cold cold heart
Hard done by you
Some things look better baby
Just passing through
And its no sacrifice
Just a simple word
Its two hearts living
In two separate worlds
But its no sacrifice
No sacrifice
Its no sacrifice at all
Mutual misunderstanding
After the fact
Sensitivity builds a prison
In the final act
We lose direction
No stone unturned
No tears to damn you
When jealousy burns
And its no sacrifice
Just a simple word
Its two hearts living
In two separate worlds
But its no sacrifice
No sacrifice
Its no sacrifice at all
