Ever heard the terms let it dry out for a minute? It's the "drying" process that allows the glue to work. If you were to dump half a bottle on to a piece of paper it would not work because of the amount of moisture still in the glue. A small amount works best because it "drys out" faster and becomes sticky faster. You could also cut the top off of the bottle...wait a day or so and it would be stuck to the sides after the air gets to it.

Thats why glue never filled in a paper containers. It always in a glass or plastic bottles. To bond something together there should be a chemicle reaction on both surfaces. So glue can produce chemicle reaction only on paper and not on glass or plastic. Its same for super glue.It will never packed in plastic containers.

It only dries when it's exposed to air for a long period of time. If the glue is in the bottle, it's not exposed to air.

Sometimes the glue near the top of the bottle is exposed to a little bit of air and that gets dried out.

There are a few ways glues work. One is the solvent it is in evaporatesd leaving a solid, there is a chemical reaction (superglue uses water molecules which makes it great for bonding skin), and some times the glue will dissolve a bit of what it is gluing together (plastic pipe glue for plumbing). In all these cases the container prevents the needed physical/chemical process to happen. Plus the glue had to be non-reactive with the container.

It hardens when it dries out. It won't dry out while in the bottle.

Actually it does
Since there is such a large amount in the bottle it stays liquid
However if you empty the bottle the bits on the sides will indeed dry

Because the insides are smooth, not allowing the glue to make a bond with it.
