I've just noticed this over the last few days. Many perfectly innocuous answers have a couple of thumbs down against them. There must be some idiots around, just putting them against everything , just for kicks. I wish there were no such things as "thumbs down".

Kids are out of school...everyday trolls...and some unhappy, sad people. Bad mix.
The thumbs down option is being used for all the wrong reasons. No bad answers above, but look what's happened!
Till Yahoo gets rid of it, these people will simply thumbs- down us out of meaness or boredom. And we just have to ignore them as best we can.....and consider the source.

We just have to tolerate them and let them have their fun.
Just like Jack said, who knows what they would be doing otherwise. I'm giggling as I think about Jack Nickelson peeking around the corner with that smirky smile on his face;
" I'm baaaack" when I think of them going along giving all of the TD's. Lol ( man alive, this answer will be deleted before the ink is even dry)
ndnquah- you are a riot!

The internet's a playground for some folk with motivations most people would find incomprehensible. They play a lot of different games sites such as this one, usually using multiple IDs, playing mind games and amusing themselves otherwise.
Probably the world's better off having them act out on DBs as an outlet than whatever the real-world alternative for them would be.

I have also seen this and do not understand the apparent negativity of the thumbers. This is mostly opinions anyway. I don't think I would like to be that negative.

Sometimes I will ask a goofy question and get like ten answers. When I go to check every answer has a thumbs down and I 'know' everyone who answered so it isn't them who is giving themselves thumbs down. Probably either a bunch of illiterates or kids. Or both.
