Do any of you have a birthday in January and feel that it just gets forgotten about and swept under the carpet?

Everybody has spent all their money over the Christmas period and the weather in January is usually miserable. Nobody seems to ever be in the mood to feel happy for me when it's my birthday. They can't be bothered to do anything. I end up with cr@p presents, not taken out for a meal and NO cake. I always wanted a cake as well..........but every year it's the same.

Do you feel cheated?

What are nice Aquarian folk like me supposed to do?

I was born on the 30th of January, so it's not too close to Christmas. I don't mind it so much, but I usually have everything that I want from Christmas!

I know a girl who was born in January who has her birthday party during the summer holidays!

I was born in December. I don't think I'd mind having a winter birthday if it were in January or February. There are a lot of awesome outdoor things you can do for winter birthdays. Skiing, snow tubing, snowball fights, etc. But being born in December just stinks. No one remembers my birthday. Everyone is so focused on Christmas. That hurt my feelings a lot when I was younger. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant now, and I'm going to make him wear condoms during the months of March and April, just so we don't have something else to celebrate in December.

Mine is Jan. 26th and I guess that is enough time after Christmas because I've never noticed it being any different from my sisters...which is in March.

My late grandmother's birthday was January 9th so I always
think of her on her special day.
I also have another aunt whose birthday is towards the end of January so I don't think that she feels cheated.

my daughter's birthday is on the 6th and she gets money from family, it does tend to get forgotten by people though and thought by alot of family as a inconvenience as they are spent up.

being born in January is a lot better than being born in December, trust me.

but i'm sorry you are so overlooked.

happiness is not having everything you want but finding joy in the things that you have.
