Yes, and those offers on the Raisin Bran Box and Post Toasties Box. I have never lived longer days than those slow moving days between the morning that I put that envelope with the three box tops and the twenty five cents enclosed in the mail box and the day that my shipment arrived with the Cloverine Salve or U C S Salve or plastic Air Plane or Magnets with Little Plastic Dogs arrived. Grass in the front yard between the front door and the mailbox, down on the corner, really suffered. I checked the mail box more often than I went to the bathroom. I believe that may have been when I developed a dislike for the U S Mail Service. I did get to know the mail man pretty well though. He wasn't too bad a guy but he sure was slow in getting that special package with my name on it delivered to me.

Yep, reminds of some of the fine quality 'cheap' tools I've bought in the past.

No , I never sent away for anything from comic books, but I did send away cereal box top and 50 cents for a Sky King ring with a hidden compartment for secret messages.
I also sent a Cheerios's box top and 50 cents for a Lone Ranger badge and never received it , It still bugs me. General Mills owes me 50 cents plus 60 years interest or a Lone Ranger badge

"Sea Monkeys"
"Charles Atlas Body Building"
I haven't looked at a 'comic' book in 40 years so I haven't got a clue what they have today...I'm sure I wouldn't recognize any of it.
