Not only does seem to go every where but it seems like it's more than it actually is.

What happens when your full glass tips over? Doesn't the liquid run all over the place regardless of how much is in the glass?????

Murpy's law. "If anything can go wrong, it will." and another: No matter how prepared you are, the thing you didn't prepare for will act up. Also, whatever goes wrong will do so at the worst time and in the worst way. (I'm an optimist, too).

It's an optical illusion. To some, the glass is half full, to others, half empty. So this "almost empty" glass is actually "almost full." Thus resulting in liquid all over the place.
