i'm writing a teen novel, im not an expert, this is just for fun. it goes like this, it's about a girl, who's passionate in writing, and her best friend, who looves acting and modelling, but her father didnt like her doing those things, and the other loooves fashion designing. they were bffs. and there's a new guy in school, and two of them fight over him. any ideas for this story?? because i'm out of ideas. hehe. any more plots and ideas??? or any favorite parts of your fav movie, and how does it goes??

No vampires!!!! Please! I'm a teenage girl so maybe I can help you with what I (and my friends) are interested in. Vampires would be OK, I suppose, if you wrote something completely different from what all the other YA vampire books are like. Most of my friends (girls) like a romance. I like it with a supernatural twist (NOT sparkling vampires). We are usually interested in a book about forbidden love. Boys, when they are forced to read, generally go for the action books. Ones that are like all the video games they play. Hope I helped.

the way you say it isa bit confusing
Is it the write who loves fasion designing or the other?
anyways there are many ways you can end the story
As the both girls are friends the writer may sacrifise the boy for the other girl and later write the story
And well you can write that the Boy falls in love with another girl
And you can write that one girl is just a pretender, you know loads of teenagers are pretenders
anyways the choice is yours

Put a new twist on an old theme. What has been done a hundred times is the two bffs fight over the guy, they guy is actually a jerk and tries to date both of them, then something happens and the girls realize he's a jerk and that they both made mistakes and go back to being friends.
In stead consider this.
The girls start to fight over the guy. The guy realizes this and works to find some way to get the girls back together while trying to figure out which one he really likes. The girls figure out what he is doing and figure out their mistakes and go back to being friends and the guy ends up with neither of the girls but ends up as a good friend to both of them and in the end they all end up introducing each other to other people who they really like to date. So everyone ends up happy and no one has to be a jerk.
Just a thought and best of luck with your writing.

You have to have at least one goofy guy friend that hangs around with the girls. He doesn't have to be gay, just a sweet lovable character whom they are all protective. You could even spin a love story within the group out of this too. You know where the lovable guy and one of the girls hook up and try to hide it.

In most teen novels like this the narrator is used to get to her friend by the boy. Iknow this might sound crazy but try switching it. Show how the narrator feels about discovering this boy used her friend to get to her.
