I wear a suit to work every day. As well as being bought the obvious ties, cufflinks etc for Christmas, someone got me a set of black braces (which I think Americans call suspenders).
This was intended as a joke present, but I was wondering, do men still wear them, and would people think I'm odd for wearing them? They're surprisingly comfortable!

They're not out of style, and personally, I think they're much classier than a belt. Plus, if you wear 'em right they'll make you look taller, since there's no horizontal belt line to break up your figure.
They don't make you look old either.

I would say go for it, very classic styling and gives a very smart look.
I am assuming they are just pure black of course and are not novelty in any way?? (no reindeers, Homer Simpson etc etc) - that would definitely not be sophisticated or stylish!!!

most guys prefere belts especially the clubbers with large buckles but hey if you feel comfortable wearing the braces then wear them its not odd just unique fashion your fashion if your comfy and confident then what is wrong or odd about that its a lot better than being uncomfortable and stylish as a comfy guy shows his true happiness better it makes him shine so if braces do it for you go onput them on just dont forget the smile

I would say myself that they are odd but not many people wear them so I would wear them, I'd say go for it, especially if you find them comfortable

Go ahead and wear them - be a trend setter.
Although perhaps braces are thought to be old fashioned fashion always does the rounds so perhaps its time for them again - and yes so I am told braces are very comfortable.

I switch to wearing them instead of a belt and find them more comfortable.I have had only positive comments from others. Some can be very dressy as well.....go a head and wear them
