my heaters are not working despite getting filled with oil 2 days ago. we are freezing at home. tried calling emergency plumbers........charging £300 + vat . think the air got trapped in the heaters. would anyone know how to remove the trapped air??

There should be a tine valve, you may need a tiny special wrench, these are cheap and available at any hardware store for less than a dollar.

Providing the heater was working ok previous to the coolant level going low there is a strong possibility you have an air lock in the system and therefore no coolant circulation through the heater core. Also pay attention to the coolant shut of valve . These only pertain providing the thermostat is ok. With a bad thermostat you should at least get a little heat. Bob

Hmm....you start with a reference to oil delivery, which makes me wonder if you're talking about air in your oil lines/burner.
So - what type of heater are you speaking of? If it's radiators; can you tell if the boiler is operating?

should be a little valve on top some where open it let the air out,
