No. None at all. He was a yankkkee first of all, and he was drunk as hell when he ran a red light an crashed into an innocent lady's car and basically killed her. I know people close to me that have been killed in DUI crashes, especially recently when a drunk cop crashed into my friend's brothers car that had three people in it, killing two [one was also ejected and killed instantly because his head split in half when he hit the floor] and the other I haven't heard of recently because I wasn't close to him but he was in critical condition last time I checked.
From my personal experience, there's no pity to be felt for Leyritz because this accident could've been much worse. I wish he would've been thrown in jail.

No way! He made the choice to drink and then drive. What a stupid man. He threw away his whole career.

Absolutely NOT. I think this feeling is unanimous across the board. He took someone else's life because he was so incredibly irresponsible and used the poorest of judgement. Anytime you take the wheel under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, you are an immediate danger to yourself and everyone around you. I hope Jim Leyritz gets somewhere between 25 years to Life in prison. I don't care if he is a former athlete. Justice needs to be served on this one. The woman he killed won't get her life back.

well no i dont, hes the one that drove drunk, and thats always a dangerous thing to do, i realize that some times its difficult to avoid, thats why i always like living within walking range of a bar, so that i can get drunk when i want, or even just go have a drink after work, but i dont have to worry about driving
now of course i live in wisconsin, home of the most alcohol consumed in the us, so living close to a bar is mind numbingly easy for me, im not sure if there is such a plethora of bars in whatever state leyritz lives in as there is here in wisconsin

I have no sympathy or pity for Leyritz. He made the choice to drive under the influence, and he should suffer the consequences.
I feel horrible for the woman and her family, who have become the victims of Leyritz's selfishness and stupidity.
