If you're fortunate enough to have a laptop, go for a walk, and find somewhere beautiful, peaceful, or inspiring to sit down and write.
If you're not that lucky, get a pen and paper, and take to the streets, jotting down (in note form, if you don't write quickly) any ideas you might get, or anything you find inspirational.
For example, you might see someone really interesting walking down the street. They could be wearing bright clothes, or just have some kind of aura about them, and you just feel like they belong in your story.
And as for your house, what about sitting on your roof at night? That's beautiful. :)
And, if none of those ideas come in handy, why not just chill out, sit on the floor, and write away?
Or in your bed, on the couch, on any benches lying around, the dining table, inside your car, any flat surface you can find. :)
Hope I helped, happy new years! :)

Well you can write anywhere either sitting or standing
I haven't written any books but I do keep a diary which is almost like a book as I write pages and pages for one day !
But as I think writing is as same as doing homework
If you can do homework sitting in a crowded bus with a radio going on well i guess you can write a book too.
The place or time is not the importent thing
It is that you write what comes to your mind and how you compose it.
Anyways Good Luck with your works !
Hope to read them in the future!
Happy New Year !!

Outdoors. Somewhere propped up under a tree with a book as a flat surface to write on. Nature unlocks my senses so that I can really begin to write whatever I want. Give it a try. I just hope it isn't too cold where you are...

I think that the best places to go are quiet rooms. When you're writting a novel you must be distant from noise and be in a room where you have the place to think.
If you have a computer somewhere in your home that isn't anywhere near noise that would be a perfect spot.
Hope I helped!
