tool is my first choice, being that John 5 isnt in the group, and as musicians, they are one of the tightest groups ive heard in a VERY long time (and still release good f*cking material despite the music industry collapsing in on itself, which is a shame), but on the other hand, i saw rob zombie opening for ozzy and it was nothing short of amazing (even though i had to sit through John 5's lame-a$$ pentatonic solo).
so i'd have to say tool because of their versatility and unwavering talent and musicianship.

They are totally different STYLES of music - - that is like comparing Van Halen to Pantera.......
BOTH bands are outstanding for many REASONS......so I would have to say NEITHER is better than the other - they BOTH are awesome

Tool is alot better as far as musicianship and song writing. But I personally like Zombie better because his songs rock a little harder.
