On my way to work I had to stop and get gas. While I was standing there I had a slow leak of fluid. I tried to stop it as if I were peeing but it kept coming. It finally stopped and then done it again about a minute later. It wasn't like a gush of water or anything and I don't think it was pee. When I got to work I went to the bathroom and it was enough fluid to have my jeans completely wet in the crotch area. I am being induced on in 3 more days. Should I call my doctor to see if my water has broken? I haven't had any other signs of labor.
Thanks to everyone in advance

It sounds exactly like what happened to me! I think it IS your water breaking and you should call your doctor because once the water breaks it can cause infection.

My water broke as I got out of my car when I was 30 weeks pregnant and it felt like I was going to the bathroom and couldn't stop. It stopped and then continued again. I didn't realize what was happening and let this go on for 2 hours. I ended up in the hospital on bedrest for the next 12 days before my son was born.

Anyhow, I would call your doctor as you do not want to get an infection!

It does sound like your water is breaking. Instead of a gush of fluid you are having High leak. To know for sure if it is high leaking when you go to the bathroom and you wipe it dry and you stand up again it all wet again, then it is. Call your doctor for sure to get checked because you never can be too precautions with your pregnancy. When your water starts to leak or even break completely the baby could be in danger or a while if you don't go to the doctors, because the amniotic fluid keeps your baby away from any infections. Good Luck with your labor process

I would say it's your water breaking. DEFINITELY call the doctor. If you're in the early stage of labor already, you may not have to be induced- and be glad. Pitocin brings on really painful contractions really fast. But I'd say yes it was your water, and yes you should probably call the doc and soon head to the hospital. Congrats!!

Any time you think you're leaking fluid is a legiitimate reason to call you doctor or midwife. Only 15% of women's waters actually break in a gush...the rest either have to have it broken by a doctor or it leaks...some women leak and don't even know it. Usually labor signs start within a few hours of your water leaking or breaking. I would call the doc. Congrats honey!!

your water broke - go to the hospital - with the jeans in case you don't leak anymore. the baby stops the leaking, so sometimes it isn't very much that comes out. you will deliver within 24 hours or there could be complications.

i would say your in early labor, but not much to worry about if your leaking slowley. just dont have sex, or share the bath water with anyone else as it could cause infection.
if your still worried then call your doctor or the labor ward at the hospital for advise. they will prob tell you to keep active and eat lots coz trust me you will need the energy.
congrats and make sure you have your camera ready for the birth.

If it was pee, and that much, you would stink. If you don't stink then it was your water, so please call your doctor. You said that you were being induced in three days, well if your water did break and you don't start labor on your own then they will probably induce you today.
And please don't listen to the person that told you that since you were going to be induced in three days it would be okay to wait. Once your water breaks they only have 48 hours to get the baby out before infection can set in. Call your doctor now. Good luck and congrats on your little one.
