I don't know what the sacrifice will turn out to be, regardless of who wins. I, for one, could live without new electronic gadgets from Red China. We are all going to have to live with more expensive fuels. The early cut-backs are easy: eating out, movies, buying DVDs, etc, taking vacations, boats, new "dress-up" cloths, chicken instead of beef, , joining the spa, "shopping" as entertainment, new furnature and appliances, fresh coat of paint on the house, landscaping, cable TV, big-screen TV, new computer. These will be easy. I don't know what comes next. Turn down furnace in winter, ac in summer, hang cloths out to dry, plant a garden, sell real property to those who can afford it, get rid of the dog/cat. What those who do not do this now to then give it up, I don't know.
