Unfortunately I lost most of mine in a car accident twenty odd years ago. So for some time I had permanent bridges in the upper and lower front. But after twenty years the posts cracked and I was forced to make a tough decision and had all of them removed just three months ago. Finally I am getting some full upper and lower plates. I am anxious about having ones that will be able to be removed at will or by accident. I am 41 and I am not sitting well with the idea. Hopefully I can find some advantage with the ladies.

Tc has a partial upper denture but he hasn't got used to it yet - he's only had it a couple of months but it makes him balk every time he puts it in. He will have to go back to the dentist again to have another bit shaved off of it so he can keep them in without feeling sick. He's not had any moments but I certainly have lol....I have a full upper denture and a partial at the bottom. As I don't like the denture glue I rely on sheer luck for mine to stay in. I have almost lost the upper when I've sneezed whilst out shopping but I managed to catch it before it hit the floor! Dentures do come in useful though if you have grandkids. Ours can sometimes be little so-and-so's when it comes to cleaning there teeth so I showed them what could happen if they don't brush night and morning....their little eyes nearly popped out of their heads when I took my gnashers out and scared the life out of them roflmao! So far they have been really good and have been brushing theirs without any problems. But whenever we go to see them they want to see my "plastic" teeth LOL.

I still have all my own teeth and no false ones. I thank my eldest sister for that as she instilled in us the need to clean our teeth after every meal which I still do at 73 years of age.

Don't have falsies -- one of my kids does, take care of your teeth. The original design is always the best.

My real ones worked better, but they hurt more. My dentures don't fall out. My little grand niece had a habit of putting her hand in peoples mouths and playing with their teeth. she did it to me once and pulled out my lower plate. The look on her face was something else. It was like, "OMG I broke uncle Ray!"

I wasn't born with any teeth, though I eventually got some.
Probably it will be the same with dentures.

I don't have them (yet?) but my mom lost her lowers somewhere in Eureka. Still has her uppers, but that is the downside to fake choppers. Of course, she'll get new ones (plus side) and there's no pain involved, as there is with real teeth sometimes.
