i have found a studio apartment just between the old town and that big foot bridge for £44 per night for 2 of us. anyone got anywhere better (must be ensuite)?

You could try "Holiday lettings", I have used them in Spain and would have no hesitation in recommending them. They are able to offer 3 in Prague, which are considerably cheaper, than the one you have quoted, for stays taken before the 1st April. On the enclosed page you will see No. 4278 is £36 per night, No.12083 is £38 and No.41563 is £40.
Well worth a try, you can see what availability they have, & good luck.

Have you tried www.hostelworld.com? Got two good places to stay in Prague both times I was there.
