i'm pissy wissy now because i don't enjoy my life and don't want to work (work is okay but not great). i want more than anything to just quit and have financial independence, but it's not realistic now, but i have such a deep urge to have that, and it nags at me.
have you felt that way, how you handle it?

i'm studying dentistry (in UK) at the moment so i think i know how you feel- every day is 8.30 til 6 clinics, and i go home tired as hell and don't do anything with my life! and not only am i not getting paid- but i'm PAYING to do this! lol. thats depressing. well i figure that when i finish university i'll be able to get a job and earn quite a bit of money, and loads of extra qualifications and other 'doors' will become available to me so it's not a dead end job, if you see what i mean. ilook forward to that.
okay put yourself in the "millionaire's" shoes. if you were in that position and didn't have to work, can you picture what you'd do with your time? remember you won't go to work every day- which means you're most likely sitting at home doing not much, and you're not meeting any people! ask yourself, would you get bored? because, even though i'm a little bored of life now with the same thing day in day out, i reckon that without it, i wouldn't see all my friends every day, and i'd just sit at home wasting my life!
and also- do you feel you've worked hard enough to be there? i mean, not much chance of winning the lottery or something, so do you think there's a target or goal you can achieve to get you to the millionaire position? maybe a new job, promotion, or something else.
remember- complete financial independence without a job doesn't happen to a lot of people!! it's very rare! even if you are in america. and also, people who have amassed great amounts of money like that, usually have worked very hard for it. don't forget your health is important, and it's all a mindset. if you think you're unhappy, you'll be unhappy- try and look on the bright side of things. eg, that darned cat you have to feed every day could be that cute little companion that gives you company when you get home!
hope these thoughts can ease your mind! happy new year.

No prob, become a politician. Get over paid from the get-go then vote yourselves a raise. Get arrested? get pardoned. It's like welfare in a $1,000 suit. Free everything. H... of a country.

No I don't need over 50 million. I only want enough to pay off my bills, buy a house, and live comfortably for the rest of my life. I not beyond earning it though. In fact I would probably appreciate it more.

I think a lot of people have that "If I won the lottery" dream, however it's rare and of course you have to live your life well while you're dreaming.
When it comes down to it I think that it is more important to think about what you can do with your life that will bring you joy and fulfillment. It took me 30 years before I found the job of my dreams, and now I feel horrible if something keeps me from work.

Getting money for not working is called "welfare".
Or sponging off your parents.
Either is no life. Money for nothing is a dream so you need to wake up.
