How do I make syrup-like sweet black (like black paint colored) thickish liquid? It doesn't HAVE to have a taste. It's for a craft project.

I dont know what you are doing with it but be careful using ink based anything-it can stain. My thinking is mixing cheap acrylic paint or tempra paint into some corn syrup. Will be majorly sticky but should give the effect. This will probably stain too so just FYI...

If it's JUST for appearance and you don't mind a sticky MESS, buy a bottle of MOLASSES !!

Otherwise... why not just use black paint ??

Buy black ink for art pens and add it to clear dishwashing liquid.
