I think she will appreciate it, just make it a formal one and don't end it with "kisses from..".
Happy newyear!

It's always nice to wish someone a happy New Year, and best wishes. Regardless of the status of your relationship,if things don't work out for her and her ex,you might get a chance and start the New Year off right who knows. But play it cool, you want to stay her friend so don't push it,most people that are dealing with an ex,have alot of issues to resolve. And you want her to be completely over them before you make a move.So for now just be her friend. Good luck

You know her for a month now and so you can go ahead and wish her. Just don't make it sound too casual, be brief and tell what you want to. It again depends on the type of sharing you have with her.

No that is not out of line. As long as you doing as a friend since you do not know her current relationship status. She would appreciate the gesture.

It is OK to send her a text wishing her a Happy New Year because it is not like it will offend her in any way. It's not like you are saying anything personally. So, no, you will not be out of line if you were to say something nice like that. Some or most guys won't even say that to anyone because they just don't think about it or they don't even care. What you are doing is really sweet so go ahead and don't feel weird to send her a text because I think she will appreciate it. I guarantee that you'll receive a message back. Take care and good luck. Happy New Year!!!

It's not out of line if all you are doing is wishing her a Happy New Year, but if you're pinning anything more on it, I'd say you'd be barking up the wrong tree. From her reaction a month ago I think she was trying to tell you that she doesn't see you as a romantic partner in as gentle a way as possible

Of course it wouldnt be. On occasions like new years i always send text messages to my friends and i once asked a friend out who said no and i carried on as normal. Nothing has changed in your friendship and you shouldnt let it get in the way of your friendship. she told you she wanted to be friends so just act like a friend. Now you know how she feels theirs no pressure its off your chest so now you just need to carry on as normal

Friends do that, so why not? But don't hold out too many hopes cos she may be using that reason as an excuse, because it is the most used excuse in the history of the world. Send the message earlyish in case she is doing nothing and she replies asking where you are. All things are possible! Good luck!
