hi hello world ,yes a traditional roast dinner cooked by moi ,with posh crackers (half price now in the sales) and then we hand out a gift as i mentioned in one of my questions last week ,then probs crash on the sofa lol have a good one you deserve too xx

No. Usually movies and good food.
Tomorrow we are going to have a nice ham and scalloped potatoes. I think we are going to break open our Christmas movies and see how far we get.

Hello World. That is a wonderful Tradition. We do that at Christmas. We invite others that have no where to go. Then we just eat and give thanks for all our blessings. Then we open a few gifts. I think your idea is a great one. New years we don't really do much. Except we do give thanks to the Lord for all our blessings. and then here comes the football game. we have a tradition here of eating at midnight,after the new year comes and we play cards or dice for fun!plus,we eat melamakarona [cookies covered in honey]and korabiades[cookies covered in confectioner's sugar]
then we cut a special cake called"vasilopita'which is made with walnuts and honey,and inside is hidden a coin!whoever,finds that coin,gets a gift,and is supposed to have a lucky year!!

I think the only tradition we have is not to do any washing on New Years Day, if we do we are meant to wash our friends away, so I try never to do any washing on New Years Day, (by washing I mean laundry).
