I'm probably gonna be a teacher. sometimes teachers do stuff they're not "qualified" for. for example, my math teacher taught drama, with the help of an english teacher. I'm going to teach business classes, but I'll be a black belt before I can teach. Will the high school I go to let me teach karate? Before you say it teaches kids to fight, yes it does. I won't argue. I know how to punch and where 2 kick. but it's been shown that people who do martial arts are less prone to violence (well, little small kids are the exception) I've gotten in fights in the past, but once I started karate, i haven't fought and walked away each time. but will the school let me teach a karate class? at the end of the semester they'll have a test, it'll cost $20 if they wanna go up to orange belt, otherwise it'll be free.

they definately do stuff different in schools than they did 10 years ago but if they teach something silly like golf why not karate?..but your probobly right if they dont already offer that there is going to be at least one activist parent who causes an uproar b/c you are teaching her dorky kid who isnt allowed to play video games and is allergic to everything to defend himself and she will call this violance isnt that usually how it works? But if there with you on it so am I not that I could help...but I think if my daughter had that option in school(she is a junior) she would have learned a more appropriate way to vent her frustrations than punching someone in the face and getting suspended/expelled all those times.good luck to ya guy!

The question is so huge, it turns into impossible to respond to, as somebody who does not have faith in God, final time i exploit a capital with the help of ways, i discover all those that have faith faith could desire to study as fact very problematic. it is proper fairly to creationists, and that i bear in mind having an exceedingly strange coversation some years in the past with a strongly religious guy in this undertaking. He brushed off all 20th century technology as evil, yet could ask people to instruct the heating up if he have been chilly, he could brush aside the existence of the dinosaurs, putting forward that they were positioned there with the help of the devil to reason guy to sin, and became confident that the Earth became 4,000 years previous. He additionally believed that he became a right away descendant of Adam & Eve, even the main religious individual could desire to settle for that it is impossible with the help of applying easy logic. Creationism, like the Earth being flat is a very disproved concept, it has no place in faculties, or everywhere for that count, it is as actual as Santa Claus relationship the enamel Fairy. If any faith is taught in any respect in faculties, and that i've got faith faith could desire to under no circumstances study, it could be merely in historic context on the inspiration of that which will nicely be shown. the rest is errant nonsense, and that i definitely does no longer desire any baby in my kinfolk taught such issues.

Karate teaches self-discipline. If you believe teaching karate is the right thing to do, fight for it! Find a way to do it, as a club, after school program, as part of PE, as an elective, whatever. Good luck!

Ok.. I seriously doubt it and its not the fighting. Its a liability issue. That's would be more of a non-starter. You could POSSIBLY do it as an After school thing, but then again, the school would have to sign off and I doubt very seriously if they would take on that liability.

I believe most schools have an issue with liability. However it has been done. Most schools that do have a program run them as clubs. Here is one such example:

if you click on martial arts club, you'll see its a club designed so that within the span of 4 years in high school, a black belt can be received within their 4 years at the school.

You could design a program and bring it to your principal to see if its feasible.

good luck~

The difference between drama and karate is that drama is a part of the state standards and karate is not. Most schools nowadays won't teach anything that is not part of the state standards. Now, if you are talking about after school, then you may have a shot, but the school probably won't pay you for it.

I might consider letting my kid take Karate in school as long as I am notified first, You should probably send the kid home with something for the parent to sign before teaching him the deadly art that is "Karate" though. Not to mention letting the principal in on it. You never know, he/she might put the kibosh on the whole thing just because its no in the phys. ed. curriculum. You might have to take it to the school board. I bet you could take em in a fair fight anyday.

It all depends on the school.
Before you can teach karate, you must be certified as a teacher. Having a black belt does ot qualify you to teach.
