If you registered your purchase of Norton on their website you can download it from them for free, but only if you purchased the 3 user version.

find the file where nortons is stored then copy it to a dvd/cd then load it up to your new pc

Depending on your licensing, you may not be able to activate it on more than one pc....but if you can just go to the norton site to download it....since you already have a license you can submit your info and get a copy of the registration from their site.

avira avast and avg are free antivirus apps.

zonealarm is a free firewall.

thats all you need.

avira is better than norton anyways,

go to www.download.com and download AVG Antivirus...its free...and updating everyday..

Even if you have your disk, Nortons and just about every other antivirus/antispyware company will only allow you to install the software on one PC with your current registraion key. You will usaully have to purchase a second Lic.

Plus Nortons is a hugh resource hog. And not that good with finding virues. And when you try to remove, you are left with over 375 fragments glued to your registry keys, files/folders and subsystem. You are going to have hell trying to find and remove these fragments. They cause conflict with your system.. Suggest you use a free good antivirus like Avast. Has an excellent backgroud scanner that work in real time and auto. updates on the hour. http://www.avast.com

buy the latest version of norton
they already have norton antivirus 2008. just buy, install and get going ;)
