Muslims are to blame on the whole they don't do enough to integrate properly. Its down to us as people at the end of the day how we choose to live our lives, i don't think blaming the Koran or anyone else for that matter is right !! :)

If people go to live in another country as immigrants, I believe that the onus is on them to integrate and obey the laws of their new home. Over successive waves of immigration, Britain has been way more tolerant than many other countries - we have changed our laws (e.g. Sikhs do not have to wear crash helmets on their motorcycles, women are allowed to wear the jiab whilst driving, even though it impairs their vision). All of this is well and good and is the sign of a civilised, tolerant society. However, there has to be a will to integrate - if that is not there then it won't happen. Blair may well have blamed "white Britain", but that's an easy target - he's hardly going to blame anyone that would result in him being labelled a racist.
I'm not anti-immigration. I believe that Britain benefits from immigrants. What I'm against is turning Britain into a copy of the oppressive and backward nation that many of these immigrants come from. If people want to come and live here and work hard and prosper then that is good for them, it is good for this nation. If they come here and aren't happy with our laws and our way of life or want to live like they did back in the old country, the solution is simple - go back to the old country.

The Media. Muslims get such a poor representation in the press that it's no wonder many of us don't accept them. On the other hand, most of them have their own "societies" within towns and cities and don't seem in any hurry to change their lives to our ways. They do need to keep their identity, but if they want to live in a non-Muslim country they should be prepared for a little conformation.

A) The bible says we must have slaves but we dont - the Koran also has points like this written in the distant past and your just quoting one you've read somewhere to try and legitimise your point.
B) White Britain? - as in the idigenous population? - obviously when you introduce a different culture in the midst of an established culture you will get some backlash, i think its to be expected at first.
C) I dont really think there is a failure of muslims integrating into British society? If your refering to the london and airport bombings as evidence to this you have to remember that there is a war in the middle east at the moment so obviously you will have some disaffected individuals living here. If your refering to the riots over the past 10years you will find that the rights were predominantly between black people and asian people. If you look at the 70's and 80's that was because there was discrimination against ethnic minorities (mainly in the police force) in the UK but to a large extent this has been dealt with although arguably there are some people in the force who are still racist.
I have had this conversation before with muslim friends and they say they feel integrated in British society, they said there parents had a harder time because they didnt grow up in this culture as children, couldnt speak english and there was less support from the government for immigrants.

The failure of their integration lies with those few fuckers blowing themselves up and hundreds of others in the process.
It destroyed our confidence in their sanity.

A Muslim is a person who follows a religion (Islam). British society is made up of many religious traditions including Islam, Church of England, Catholic etc. Is your question really about how does particular religious tradition prevent people from living harmoniously with one-another?
Certainly members of some Christian religions have been very vocal about discriminating against lesbian and gay people and excluding them from participating fully in British society (attempting to deny them recognition of their relationships, inheritance, spousal visitation and adoption rights).
BTW, Cultural Anthropologists suggest that it takes about three generations for new immigrants to integrate into a new culture.
