How do you get someone fired?

There is this guy at work in his 40s. Because he did a lot of drugs in the past, his brain is pretty fried. He says very unprofessional things to customers all the time, asking questions that are none of his buisiness. He doesn't even do his job and walks at an old lady pace all the time. He is incapable of even the simplest of tasks. He stands around most of the time just watching other people work. People are nice to him because they can tell he is pretty much a self made retard. The only reason he got hired in the first place is because of Axcess (or something) it's like a vocational rehab thing. He clearly has no future in his career and he needs to go. Even if he is somewhat protected by this "Give stupid brain fried druggies jobs" program, is there something I can do to make management see that he needs to go? Oh yeah, and he smokes in the bathroom which is very much against company policy.

If it were me, I'd do my job, worry about my performance, and let management worry about the guys who have bigger issues in hopes I never had problems later in life.

I am sure the boss is already aware of this and may even be taking steps to deal with it not visible to you (as it is really none of your business)

If you came to me with this, I would tell you to get back to your desk and spend less time worrying about what others are doing and worry about your own job performance.

if you had a quiet word with your manager or the boss and just tell them he always performs lazily and its getting to you and the others im sure the manager will address the situation because conflict in the work place is a factor which affects the motivation of employees and intun affecting the productivity produced which then lags profits.

I know this must be irritating to you as someone who clearly takes pride in their work and believes in a job done well. The thing is your employers will be getting some kind of benefits for taking this guy on. If you see him doing nothing loudly ask him for some help or point out what he could be doing. Using phrases like 'Since you aren't busy would you....' to draw attention to the fact he is lazing around, especially if your bosses are around. Also use 'Who has smoked in the bathroom it stinks in there' Assuming you are in the UK smoking is clearly breaking the law as well so you may want to take that up with management directly.

Many of those programs are subsidized by the government. You can't "get him fired", but you can let your management know how you feel. If others have also complained, this might give the manager more incentive to let this guy go. At least they'd know that this guy is impacting employee morale.

On the otherhand, you could be more generous of spirit and just ignore this guy.

He probably won't get fired. Companies get TAX Breaks for hiring people with disabilities....how do you think you got the job!!! Do your job and let the BOSS do his.

Suggest to management to set up a suggestion box. Afterwards, put anonymous suggestions/comments into it about him.

well my friend got expelled from school for downloading gay porn on the teachers computer do something to the same extent, that or claim he had sex with the boses wife...or funnier if your boss is a female tell everyone he had sex with the boses husband... hopefully full of shame he will quite hehe =p
