Not so much the lyrics. I'm looking for songs that send chills down your spine because the way they're sung or the way the instruments are played.

I can't really think of many, but some examples of songs that get to me would be...

Lincoln's Eyes by Mercury Rev
Roots by Michael Ribiat

Thank you!

Basically anything from Radiohead. There's this one song by Devotchka called How It Ends, they played it during a trailer for Everything Is Illuminated...that gave me chills.

The Requiem for a Dream soundtrack.

And I guess the "creepiest" song would have to be The End by the Doors.

The early 70's hit D. O. A. by Bloodrock. This song was so long and had such a creepy instrumental that most Top 40 stations wouldn't touch it in the day. Combine that with the tale of an airborne fatality "we were flying along...and hit something in the air" and you have all the makings of early morning nightmares.

Bad Moon Rising by Mourning Ritual. Its a cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival song and was on Teen Wolf (and The Walking Dead as well I think). It's kinda creepy and absolutely brilliant!!!

A Day In The Life - The Beatles (the ending freaked me out when I was younger)

Revolution Number 9 - The Beatles (just creepy)

Black Diamond - KISS (there's more than one version - the one that got me was the one where the ending just seems to "wind down" - not the one where the song just starts over and fades out)

Julie's 16th Birthday - John Bult (I'm not going to spoil it for anyone not familiar - it's just.........well........)

Try "Beaubourg" by Vangelis. Some parts of "Heaven and Hell" (also Vangelis) are exteremely creepy as well.

Black Sabbath managed a few creepy ones too: "After All" springs to mind. And Jim Moray's "My Sweet Rose" from his new album is disturbing, but not creepy...
