With posting statistics and what-not on intelligence, etc, to be able to prove that men are more intelligent that women?(I'm refering to some men here, not all)
What's the point of this? What do you really think it's going to achieve?
That women will finally bow down to you or that we'll just not give a rats? Nothing really changes does it? It doesn't bring the sexes closer together and there be more understanding in the long run.
Thoughts?

Gnu, I can understand that men want to be appreciated and respected, but I wish they would understand that boasting about something that is not necessarily true or that could be applied to the opposite sex, is a huge turn off and ultimately they gain less respect. It's just better to be down to earth :) But that goes for both sexes.

Oh you are very bad Chris, but not bad enough. Unfortunately I feel as though perhaps someone here is lacking a little gumption.

I agree with the others: Insecurity.
For example, a man that brags how great lover he is at every opportunity, generally it is because he has some sexual problems. The confident lover doesn't need to announce to the world how great he is. Same thing about intelligence or talent, and this goes for both sexes. The intelligent person knows about his/her shortcomings, or is busy using his/her intelligence, no need again to brag about it.
Especially clear is in the theatre world, the more arrogant and critical about others an artist is, generally goes hand by hand with insecurity. Great artists are just great, they don't need to prove it, as they just are.

I think it's fine and dandy if men have higher and lower IQ's and women have the middle range of IQ's, as long as they all use their intelligence with a bit of common sense and compassion.

Are these stat-posting head cases not the saddest sacks you have ever witnessed in your life? Cowering behind a computer, Googling pseudo-facts to make their tiny, boring insignificant selves feel better.
I guess the truth is, if they believe the facts they are psychotically deluded, if they don't believe the facts and post them anyway, they are merely as*holes.
Which do you think it is?

First and Foremost, Happy New Year, Shivers...
Now, someone above said:
"I think the xxxx that would post these statsitcs are just yyyy-haters and aren't interested in equality, they just want to say 'We're better than you, nanana!'."
Also, someone below said:

I *100%* agree with BOTH ... that's why feminists do nothing for me and why I realise equality is not their goal. I'm still looking for a feminist study which says "men are good" or similar... I can't find one, and never will.
Regardless - it applies to both sexes. There are guys who want women to bow down to them, and there are women who want men to bow down to them.

Leave GW alone right now -- he is trying to conduct a nuclear war (it *is* winnable if one understands military strategy)|
I am actually convinced that women are on a higher level of being than men (and I a man am saying this)|
I have noticed that they have us pegged and we do not even know it|
They think in an intuitive holistic way that embraces, yet transcends the rational linear way men think (think of the bodily analogy)||
Women are essentially receptive and men are generative, but when understood properly, the *receptive* (at least in that modality) is the superior one -- there is an axiom is philosophy: the whole is greater than the part (again think of the analogy)|
When the proper man puts a woman on a pedistal, that is the literal truth (as opposed to the preditory man putting the woman under his thumb)|
In a branch of theology known as "angeology" (concerning the study in invisible non-coporeal beings known as angels) -- the eighth and ninth highest choirs (levels) of angels are know as cherubim and seraphim -- cherubim are all light, knowledge, and intelligence; and seraphim are all love and benevolance ("burning ones" is the etemology there) -- the intuitive love of the seraphim embraces and transcends the conceptual and logical intellect of the cherubim -- that is a fine theory to think about and how the invisible spirits live - but it is a little different and more difficult to actually live that principle ourselves||
But a cavaet is in order here -- a good woman is better than a good man by far, but an evil woman is far more evil than an evil man, as the Harlot (Rev. 17), can be seen to be far more evil than the Beast (Rev. 14)||

With anything, you can type it in on google and find the results you want to hear - type in men are more intelligent than women, and it will come up with a website to support that. Type in women are more intelligent than men and will also come up with another website and statistcs to 'prove' it.
HAHA to the man who said about men being superior and mentioning George Bush? Considering that the whole world laughs at George Bush and thinks he's an utter blundering fool, this doesn't really support your argument..... ;-)

I always get the sense that such men are trying to compensate for their own personal sense of inferiority by appealing to the alleged superiority of their sex as a whole.
It reminds me of a tiny lizard boasting of his great ancestry, the dinosaurs who ruled the earth for millennia, longer than humankind has existed. Whatever, he's still a lizard.
EDIT
Unless they're complete morons (which I won't rule out), I am sure they know that it doesn't particularly ingratiate them to women. I suspect they say such things mainly with the anonymity of the Internet or in the company of like-"minded" men.
