Between cats sleeping on them, dogs knocking them off the desk, and nephews getting crumbs and soda in them, my keyboards usually last less than 6 months. These silicone jobs seem like the perfect solution. So if you've used one, how did you like it? Would you recommend it or not?

I really wanted one from the first time i saw them. Looked everywhere to buy it: online, local stores... but no luck at the time. And finally I found one and it was the only one left. I made sure the store kept it for me while I go get my money.
It was the ideal, most-wanted keyboard for me.
After I tried it at home after 20 minutes i absolutely could not stand it anymore. Typing is very uncomfortable. It makes no "click" when you press a button and sometimes it makes you wonder if you pressed it right. Additionally, the keys are harder to find for some reason. If I was not looking at the keyboard at all while typing, I kept pressing the wrong key. It just slowed me down. And you also have to press somewhat harder on them, maybe because you are never really sure if you pressed it or not. So I ended up in returning it.
You might get used to it, but there definitely is a change in the way you type.

They're certainly durable. But they are a bit like walking on a bouncy castle for your fingers. A very different feeling to the standard keyboard.

If you were around in the mid 80s for the home computer boom and knew of someone that had a ZX Spectrum, it's a similar effect to those keys.
