both my parents are from mexico. but i was born in california. so sometimes i have trouble deciding what i am.
i speak spanish fluently and everything. but i live in utah and all the mexicans i know are like rancheros and cholos and thats not me at all. i'm more urban, hippie, punkish, sporty chick i guess. and so alot of the mexicans call me white washed and crap. and i just dont know how to take it.

don't worry about it.....as long as you know who you are... it doesn't matter what any one else thinks.....your always going to come across ignorant people...but those people cant help themselves...just thank god your not like them...hold you head up little Chicana girl....and don't be ashamed of who you are...

If you think that being mexican it's only rancheros and cholos of Utah.... then.... it's better you think your self as an american because certanly all the WHITTE americans don't have gangs, or crime, or are uneducated.... aren't?

if your an American think like one, stop the mex American thing, if every one would stop worrying about where there descendants came from and started thinking as a country we would all be better off,
my ancestors came from England, Germany, and American Indian, so i don,t go around saying i,m a English,german,indian americian, , I,m just an Americian,

A lot of that comes from people who are just envious of your style and intelligence. You just have to put yourself above it and try to make the world better for the next generation.
