I do it for many reasons. It saves money on the electric bill, the sun is a much better way to bleach white clothes, they smell much better and I get a bit of exercise lugging the basket up the stairs and out to the backyard. I will sometimes hang the sheets outside in the middle of winter, they don't dry much but they do smell wonderful.

No, I would love to, but my stupid neighbors' dogs and cats love to tear clothes down. So I have to raise my electric bill and use my dryer every time.

relies upon on your climate. i'm in a soggy moist winter style of place, and that i will enormously plenty forget approximately drying outfits on the line by potential of the top of September, as quickly as I get little solar interior the backyard and sunlight hours temps are not getting plenty above 50F. yet once you're able the place it gets chilly and dry in winter, outfits will dry in under freezing climate, as long as they are not getting snowed on.

During seasons that the clothes don't freeze on the line. Saves drying cost, but mainly the clothes have a fresher outdoor smell and 'feel'.

No, I rely on my dryer now days. Mainly because it's not practical in the winter where I live. Also, after hanging clothes on the line, I had a bee get caught in a pair of pajamas that were worn later that day. Not a pleasant experience. I use the clothes line to dry heavy duty things like rugs and quilts, but I always shake them out good before bringing them inside!

I wash my clothes in the bathtub and hang them indoors, or outdoors depending on the weather.

I do it because it's what I've got.

Used to. I liked the way it smelled and felt (including the starchy stiffness). I would hang my dress shirts on a plastic hanger, all buttoned up and when they were dry, only had a very little ironing to do.

What I have done, also, is lay the sheets out on the grass overnight and let the chlorophyll do its little freshening thing.

I have had to re-wash a few times, thanks to our avian friends.

Now, I throw my bag of laundry on the bag of my bike and go to the laundromat.

I've tried to figure out if it is cheaper to buy a washer and dryer or to continue with the laundromat. So far the laundromat is winning.

Wind blows it away. And someone might steal'em.

Plus, it's too time-consuming. Dryer takes an hour. Clothesline a whole day. And I might forget there's clothes outside.
