Happy New Years Everyone!
So are you making any music related New Year resolutions? Are you going to start buying more albums? Start listening more of one band? Return back to some old favorites? Learning an instrument? Delete all those Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls songs off you computer? *cough mine cough*
Mine:
1) Go back to the guitar, you can do it sarah! You can learn!
2) Get a record player and start collecting vinyls. Once I get the money.. (hahaha... that would take months)
3) Quit going on R&P at 4:42 am
Well.... I'm off to bed now, I'll respond back tomorrow (hopefully) and Good Morning since many of you will wake up in a few hours....
Happy New Year again!

1. Listen to some new music (I make & keep this one every year, haha)
2. Get at least one song from each band that played at Woodstock that I don't already have (this NYR is inspired by this amazingly rad poster from Woodstock that I bought on Thursday)
3. Go to a concert
4. Your record player one actually gave me the idea to maybe try to do that one too....I might make that kind of a collective one for the next five years though, haha.

Well, I want to play an instrument which is something I never learned because my parents didn't want me to have my first choices. I want to take up bass guitar so that is one of resolutions for the coming year.
Happy New Year Sarah.

Happy New Year, Sarah :)
Well, I've had an electric guitar for 9 years, and I *still* haven't got around to even trying to play it. And the same with the bodhran I've had for 8 years.
After all the Blackmore's Night I've been listening to, I'm tempted to learn to play the chanter, but I don't think the music shops I know will stock them!
And I'd like to try to turn some of my 'poetry' into lyrics.
Cinnamon ~ I didn't get to my first gig until I was 21!
Will ~ you *must* try Type O Negative!
Barbara ~ good luck :) We *really* need more female bassists

my plans...I want to start loking for more new bands in goth, power symphonic/athmosferic metal. Plus, learn more about current bands.
Quit harrasing EMO kids LOL.
in professional, I want to PASs professional TEST, URGHH, this is 3rd time when I'm taking. previous times I failed, I know I sucked miserably. But this time IT MINE.
what comes to R/P, consume a little less time for it
Sarah I know you can do it, We know it, :)!

My job for the next year is to do get a USB turntable and start ripping my vinyl to the PC. I'd say at least a quarter of my collection has never been re-released onto CD and I'd love to hear some of that older stuff again! Tons of bootlegs, 80's Alternative & Punk, Aussie bands, etc....

1) I will learn my favourite Rock/Pop songs on the piano (Beatles songs, Billy Joel, Queen, ...).
2) I will keep discovering more Prog rock bands, albums, and songs
3) I will spend a little less time on Y! A R&P, because it's getting in the way of my studying, and I have the french baccalaureate in June. Gotta get to work!
4) I will limit my use of Limewire and will try instead to download my music legally
Your vinyl collecting resolution is amazing! i wish I could do that..

Good luck with your resolutions and have a star for a really interesting question.
Keep at the guitar, you will not regret it.
And i've just got record player for Christmas with a few vinyls and i'm going to start collecting them.
Anyway my resolution is for my band to make it in the local scene, then hopefully next year we can make it big.
