Sounds like a childish question, I know. But last night I saw these guys on SNL and god, they were awful. It was the most contrived, overwrought crap I've seen in a long, long time.
If I were a kid, I'd be pretty bummed at the dearth of good bands that are out right now.
Its like punk rock never happened!
Where is the anger? Where is the rage? Where are the bands railing against the Bush administration, corporate malfeasance and other social bankruptcies?
Sorry about the rant, but I'm desperately trying to find the next Clash, the next Ramones, the next Sex Pistols.
And it just ain't happenin' ....

ik i am going to get a lot of thumbs down for my answer, but what ever. ok, so maybe you saw a performance on one of their not so great days. i personally love them, and their music. you probably heard something off the black parade. you should really listen to the bullets or revenge album before you go judging them. those albums cover who mcr really is. not the black parade, that is why they are going back to their old style of music for their next album. i don't have anything mean to say about your opinon, because everyone is entitled to their own opinons, and i think that all their opinons should be respected.

Why are you such an idiot. I should just ignore this because your obviously a troll. I have 5 tips for you 'mann'. 1) Gerard WAY is not gay, he is married to Lyn-Z Way and has a daughter. 2) There is a spell check on this website. Use it. 3) They are famous because they are different and have their own ideas. Gerard has one of the most amazing minds out there, I mean, nobody with a normal brain would be able to think up the Black Parade. 4) You are not causing us Killjoys to have 'butthurt'. My chemical romance is AWESOME! I know other people have different opinions then me, but they are honestly the best band I've veer heard in my entire life. They've saved a LOT of lives with their music, they're great. You need to look more into it before you judge them.

I see what your saying. I'm not a big fan, so it's easy for me to agree. But, I'd have to disagree with the lack of aggressive political idealist music. There are very talented bands out there, but they have strong convictions, so you'll never see them on TV or SNL for that matter. Propagandhi could run political/aggressive circles around Jello Biafra and John Lydon any day.

I completely agree. They are a terrible over-saturated band of sorry *** emo fuckbuddies. What do they even ******* call their self? Rock? Metal? I'm not really a fan. But Gerard Way can sing pretty well, and their guitar isn't terrible either. Also, directed at the "gerard gay" comment, he is married to a girl who goes by LynZ and they have a daughter. You spelled "publicity" wrong.

I agree. I have no taste in MCR whatsoever. Bad taste to me, yet I don't shame anyone who listens to them. They are who they are.
Oh yes! The anger and rage of punk rock. I can't get enough! I happen to really love this question! SOMEBODY actually appreciates the punk era rather than thrashing it and forgetting about it ever happening. The REAL punk era. Back when it was old school.
To tell you the truth, times changed. I'm not sure if there are ever going to be the next Ramones. Hell, there will never be a Dead Kennedys either. Shame. Like I said, I'm glad someone appreciates the punk era and what it's worth.

i wish i was actually alive when there was good music, but no. im 14 and i get to grow up with this crap...my chemical romance sucks like no other band ive ever heard.
