For the 117 th. time: TO LIVE IT

Point of life, purpose of life and meaning of life are all basically the same concept. All refer to a design or plan for our life and a plan requires a planner and the only possible planner is our Creator. So point of life is a meaningless question unless we assume that God exists. Mindless natural processes such as evolution don't have plans so the point of life is definitely not to reproduce as someone said.

We can't invent our own point of life; that would be like saying we created ourselves with a plan and that's absurd.

If we reject God what we must do is to invent reasons for living and then convince ourselves that our invention is why we were put on earth. This type of self delusion is necessary in order to keep us from suicide. We must have a reason for living and we must believe that it is an important reason otherwise we will start thinking about suicide.

But if we accept that God might exist, then life can have a real plan, real purpose, real meaning and a real point.

I got into a philosophical debate with my roommate about death once. Ii told him i didn't really believe there was a spirit world after you die. i didn't know what was there, but i hope there is at least something. then my roommate said the wisest words i've ever heard one person say. "No, see, I just think you're dead. No afterlife, no ghosts, no nothing. You're just dead."
Kind of puts a point to life when you realize you are running towards nothing - there is no point. It's just life. You got it. Live it.

We live to die and die to live. If you go by the book.
But i think theres really no point in life if you dont believe in the book. Especially if you believe in the big bang then our earth was just like any other planet. Its just there.
So then started the creation of living things by bacteria.
and were just the most evovled form of life.

so the point of life would usually be to reproduce..survive...any other thing like that

It depends on whose life it is. My life is to live and find outwhere my life will take me. Life is just a coincidence making it nothing but a start and a finish; therefore meaningless.

To realise that humans will never get it right on their own. Then things get better in the next chapter.
