It i said that Polish workers work harder than British workers.
Is it not a case of:
1) They are cheaper
2) They have no other commitments in this country

Maybe they are cheaper and they work harder. Immigrants who have come from somewhere where it is much harder to survive always tend to work harder than the local population - they just apreciate the opportunity.

At the end of the day Polish workers are doing jobs in the UK that are necessary, if a lot of lazy bigoted twats, got their @rses of the social and did these jobs themselves, then there wouldn't be jobs available for immigrant workers, would there?

Personally I don't mind immigrants, I'm just glad these vacancies are getting filled!

They do work harder. The Poles I've met are great people, honest and decent. It's very hard to buy a home in Poland and I don't think they can borrow money as we can, so this may well be what they work hard for.

Maybe Polish or any other nationality do work harder than the British, because they can take pride in their work no matter what job they are doing.
Now you'll argue with me this has nothing to do with it, but look at America for example any shop/supermarket you go to you will always (in my experience) be welcomed and appreciated for your custom. How often does that happen here in Tescos all you get is a sultry kid who cant be bothered .

Right or wrong its going to happen. When thousands of people from one country come to another for no other reason than they want to make money, and end up doing jobs that *could* be done by the native population then there will be animosity.

Yes they are doing it legally, but people are still going to resent it when they find it hard to get a job and they keep being told that Poles are better workers etc. Like it or not it will happen. If Polish people want to come here they just have to be thick skinned about it.

Perhaps one should consider that they are foreign in a foreign land and have a different work ethic.

Not fair. What they do is perfectly legal. They just make easy scapegoats.
