In today's news " Jerry& Kate McCann wishes to return to Portugal but only if charges agaist them are in effect dropped" My personal oppinion is: - they have a child a little older than a baby gone missing in Portugal and they are not willing to return to the spot unless in effect the police cut a deal to drop all charges against them, very convenient. I believe they should be there to answer each and every question and accusation thrown at them truthfully and honestly, come what may what do you think?.

If they are innocent they can assist the police in any way possible safe in the knowledge that they have nothing to fear.

I think they are in the midst of a situation neither you or I have the slightest inkling of how horrendous it can be. And that they should make their own decisions.
If there is evidence against them, arrest them. If not, let them be.

It is a publicity stunt .They never have and never will lead in the search for the child .They want everybody to feel sorry for them as they are insidious narcissists who will never admit they are wrong (which is what leaving three babies alone every night is -WRONG).
Hence they come home as soon as those pesky "Johnny Foreignor" coppers start asking too many questions.It's not cricket old bean because everybody leaves babies night after night in an unlocked room whilst boozing and schmoozing.
It was not a mistake it was sheer negligence and according to the inept NSPCC it is also child abuse.
A mistake is losing your car keys or passport -not neglecting babies and refusing to acknowlege the crime.
In their arrogance the Doctors now think they can call the shots and do a deal with the Foreign greasy police to come and lead the search -as if no one in Portugal knows what the child looks like, and as if the Portuguese want them back anyway.
They are just desperate for more money to pay for Pinochets' lawyer and the top notch legal team that their innocence forced them into employing.
Poor doctors.It's all about them never about the defenceless child.
If they both worked in McDonalds do you think they would be doing lucrative deals with HELLO and meeting pontiffs and heads of state?
And it aint just portuguese shops that have taken down posters of the missing child it is also the local churches and even the vatican that have washed their hands of the lying pair of crooks.
A bit like Pontious Pilate.
Except this time the disciples are all getting thirty pieces of silver not just Judas.
Hopefully they will only be going back to Portugal- hand in handcuffed hand.

every country has a different way of operating - if the police cudnt speak to them without makin them suspects then they shud accept that
personally i agree with the portuguese police that say the level of publicity that this has got means that anyone who did have maddy was too scared to return her alive
