it's seems like most songs on the radio had no thought put into them they are just dumb whatever sounds catchy and makes money

Wow... a tough question to answer in a short space.
There do seem to be a lot of songs out there that are not "quality" songs but just , as you say, songs with "no thought ....dumb... and to make money." I agree w/ you 100% . At the same time there are some lesser known works that don't make the radio "cut" that are composed from "the heart." Some never make into general circulation.
Charles Ives, an American composer, said something about having a vocation to make money to survive and doing your passion as an avocation (hobby). That's the way he composed. Some of his works are amazing but not heard routinely on the radio. If you search for quality music of any era, including contemporary, you will find it. It exists. The rest of the stuff is "here today, gone tomorrow" and won't stand the test of time. Bravo to you for realizing the difference .

There are those who really love what they do and are lucky enough to be successful at it. Others are just fame junkies who will perform any commercial rubbish just to get a hit (pun intended).
