Electric and wood.

Back in the 50's and 60's the utilities and the government assured us that by the year 2000, electricity would be free. Just a hook-up charge.

Some how that didn't happen.

It really depends on where you live. We lived in VA for years and had gas heat. It was nice and always toasty in the winter. Plus gas was relatively inexpensive.

We live in PA now and gas prices are outrageous. We are very thankful that we now have electric heat since it's not as costly as gas.

If I had my preference and all things equal, I'd probably go with gas but with the high costs of fuel, electric is the best way to go for us now.

my home is heated by gas but we also have a humidifier hooked up to the system to make it better for the winter time here in Minnesota. I would also say if i had a choice it would depend on the cost of gas or electric and witch would be more efficient, and most apartments go of off electric.

Mine is all electric.
Electric can be dry but if you have a humidifier they really help.
Depending on how close to a dam you live - electric is less costly.
