Many years ago a family friend would touch me places that he shouldn't. Then after that happened he would have sex with me. I know that what he did was wrong. For years I have considered what he did to me was molest me. During a recent conversation with a friend, they said that this man repeatedly raped me. Is this possible? Which one of us is right?

Molesting is the act of touching a person in certain areas of the body without permission.

Molestation is being touched in a sexual way - like feeling up the different persons vagina or penis in a fashion that one would not desire to be touched. The penis would not pass into the vagina or the penis would not pass into the anus. this is only sexual habit that would not pass each and every of how. this is basically molestation if one would not desire to be touched that way or if the guy doing it to a distinctive is criminal and the sufferer is a minor. Rape is whilst one is bodily compelled to have intercourse with yet another. Rape & molesting somebody are no-no's. do not do them, human beings. :D

Rape is the term for illegal sexual contact. Definitions for rape vary from state to state.
In Texas, the term "rape" is not used by the courts.
This would be charged as Aggrevated Sexual Assualt of a Child.

Both of you are correct with your terminology.

You might explore whether this person would still be criminal liabel in your state or country.

o_o oh god.

Molestation is anything sexual you do not like, reguardless of age. A 20 year old who has someone grab his/her privates, who does not like it, is molested.

Rape is intercourse against the persons will (male or female)

Statuitory rape is intercourse between a minor and an adult. Reguardless of if the minor "consents" because of the consentation of a minor not being legal, it is then considered without consent, thereby being called rape. (even if it isnt the psychologically and physically damaging rape mentioned above, though in alot of cases it is)

E.G.- An 18 year old and his/her 15 year old significant other have sex. They both wanted it.

The 15 year olds parents find out, they can charge the 18 year old with Statuitory rape, as a 15 year old is not old enough to consent to sex.

You both are.

To rape someone there must be non-consensual penile penetration. Molesting is inappropriate touching of a person without consent. He did both.

What a sicko. I do hope you are alright.

If you were below the age of consent then it was rape, even if he got you to say "Yes", because as a child you were legally incompetent to consent.
