I have taken ballet for 4 years and tap dance for a few months now.
I'm guessing this is a joke since the point shoes for ballet needs to curve when you use its point function. The bending would be impossible as the sole of the tap shoes are usually leather.

Also, the tap plates for the tap shoes are screwed in and needs a firm base like those of the leather tap shoes. Ballet toe shoes cannot give that support as its sole is thin.

So yeah. I really think this is a joke photo whether it's real or Photoshop(ped). It's either that or this is a new modern dance that mixes ballet and tap dance which I haven't heard or seen of yet.
