Human rights are sometimes used to abuse the government and people are already using this as a shield to protect their felonies.

The laws are in place but the governments of the world do nothing to prevent human rights violations until something tragic happens. They often fail to intervene when intervention is required. No human rights are over-rated. The fact is we don't do enough about it or to prevent it. Why? In some cases it is outright racist or sexism or religious beliefs. We need to protect all children and persons from human rights violations. Take a look at Japan, it is the #2 country for human trafficking. The problem with the world is there is too much corruption and too much lip service and not enough action from government.
