Ok, so I have a new comp. It's an AMD X2 5600+ with 3 gigs of ram and a 500 gig hard drive. The only problem is the graphics card, it pretty much blows. i want to upgrade so I can play Crysis in at least almost it's full glory. Will adding a Nvidia 8800 GT 512 mb card do the trick? And is the GT much worse than the GTX? I heard in performance reviews it was almost exactly the same...for half the price. I'm big on frame rates....so I'm hoping i'll be able to run it with the graphics set fairly high while keeping the game smooth. Any help would be awesome, thank you.. P.S This questions probably been asked already, but I don't think it has with my computers specs.

8800GT should be fine. You may have to overclcock your X2 5600+ to 3.0gHz level to minimize any potential bottleneck. Here's how high end cards perform with Crysis:

1. Overclock your CPU.
2. That will run it but not on high settings or with a high fps.
3. If you want high settings id say SLI

the 8800gt is the best thing going for the money right now............heres a benchmark from tomshardware, they have the 8800gt but it is the overclocked version.......but it will be close enough to the unclocked version to give ya an idea how good the card is.........http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=1057&model2=722&chart=308

I think it'd run, but if you want to run it on high settings go for the best video card possible
