I've never been on an All Inclusive vacation before, but am dying to go on one. I've heard Cancun or Jamaica, but would like to hear what others have to say.

Jamaica has some great all inclusive. When considering an all inclusive there are some definite things to consider. What activities does the property have that will keep you interested.
Do you like to laze on the beach? do you want to have meals prepared and be available all day? Do you want to have your drinks available. Does the property have tours that are part of the cost.

I say go for it. All inclusive is probabaly one of the best experiences when you want to have a stress free vacation.

Check out Sandals (my favourite), Breezes if you dont mind having children around (theyStarfish Trelawny SuperClubs can be a lot of fun) . Holiday Inn Sunspree, Riu (Negril)

My favourite place Negril you will have a great time and still be able to mingle with the locals.

Do your homework and most of all have an open mind and you will have a great time

riu resort /ochos rios best for your dollar(and i've been doing this for 10+ years ) if choosing an all inclusive never go below a 4 star resort-you get all the "low lives "if you do!

We went to Couples Negril in October, all inclusive. It was the BEST vacation ever! The food and drinks are both wonderful and you can eat of drink anytime you want. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the property is beautiful!!!

I have been to all inclusive resorts in both places and had a great time in both. The best vacation to go on is the best for the person going. I like to tell people to think about what they want in a vacation and a resort and go from there. All inclusives are not created equally. Most of them fall into one of 3 categories: romantic, relaxing, or fun. Do you want children at your resort? Some allow them, some specialize in children, and others do not allow them. This is just an example of questions to ask yourself about your resort. Then go to TripAdvisor.com and research where you are going. You can read about every resort in an area at that site and learn a great deal. Read the resort amenties of the resort, read trip reviews written by previous travelers, ask questions in the forums section, and look at what other attractions the area offers and you will be able to make a much more informed decision. Have fun researching and have a great trip!

We just returned from Sandals in Negril, Jamaica yesterday. We had a great time. If you like to scuba, snorkel, sail, water ski it is all included at no extra cost. These things could get very expensive if you did it on your own. All the food, snacks and fancy drinks also free and delicious. We really feel like we get our money's worth. You can visit tripadvisor.com to see what others say about it or other vacation spots. Hope you find exactly what you want but we love Negril so much we go back each year!

dont go on one, its a waste of money. ive been on one before and it was a horrible experience. i wouldve rather just spent the extra 200 bucks or so and actually enjoyed my vacation. instead of lying on the beach i ended up filling out forms and doing things that were required to get that low cost
