My baby has been doing that since 2 months old and now at 6 months she still has no teeth. Sometimes they go through tough phases of pain, and fever, and all the symptoms but then it passes and still no teeth!
But there are many things you can do.

1) There is a gel that you rub on her gums to numb the pain that you can buy at your drug store. I am not from the US so I dont know what brand you guys have there, so go in and ask.
2) They like to chew things when they are teething so give her some rubber teething rings. There are also some that have a plastic part filled with water that you chill in the fridge or for a v.short time in the freezer that they can suck and will soothe the pain.
3) If the baby is running a fever and is refusing food and is really crying and screaming, give her some baby tylenol syrup. But I would ask the pharmacist first or the doctor. I dont want to give out that advice willy nilly.

Symptoms of teething
1) Drooling and biting... you are right on that one
2) Some mothers report diahrrea
3) Pee smelling like ammonia
4) My baby chews on the bottle nipples and pushes it to the side with her tongue if I dont numb her gums with the gel first.
5) Really red hot cheeks
6) Fever

Good luck girl!

Get her some safe things to chew on. The drooling and putting her hands in her mouth are absolutely normal during teething. Don't worry. Many drug stores carry various kinds of teething rings. Get a few.

It's normal for then to do this. My daughter was also 4 months old when she got her 2 bottom ones (she is now 5.5 months old) Get her a teething ring that you can put in the fridge as the coolness is soothing on their gums, also teething gel for the pain. You can't do anything bout the drooling and the chewing and putting hands in the mouth, the pressure of them chewing on things puts pressure on the gums and soothes it for them as well.

There is nothing to worry about. I've seen a baby come out of the mother and has teeth already. The best thing you should do is buy ambisol for the baby and get a teething ring and put it in the icebox to make it cold then give it to the baby. Your baby would like the feeling of something cold and would feel much better.

My daughter cut her first two teeth at five months. There isn't much you can do about it. Give your baby chew toys, teething rings etc. A cold, wet face washer is also good, as the rough texture of the cloth will massage the sore gums and the cold feels good too. There are teething gels you can buy that numb the gums temporarily, but they don't taste too good, so your baby might fuss.

Mom, that,s the normal process. of course at 4 months she is early but very good because when teeth are coming out for the first time at lets say 7 months, the gums becomes hard and the child gets sick and it becomes a difficult situation becos he even refuses to eat plus diarrhoea.
Try to rub bonjera on the teeth because i understand the gums itches when the teeth are coming out. Buy her some soft toys which are found in local shops and they are made especially for teething aid. Breast feed her more. Goodluck. Thanks

There is nothing to do. My baby did the same thing the gawjuzz little girl she is. She was 5 months. She put her hands in her mouth too. Oh! There is one thing I did. I bought a product called "BabyVere". Apply it to your baby's mouth once every 2 days. It helped my little girl alot. Hope everything turns out okay!

Well you should go to the local store and buy a teething ring, and sit it in the freezer, or just let it get cold. The coldness feels good to the babies teeth and gums.
