I'm planning to get a new phone. My sister and mom has a family plan and i'm gonna join with them. They say that when you add a new line to that plan, you get a new phone with it. We're with Sprint. So is this true?

That depends on the phone model. Sometimes cell phone companies say when you add another line they will give you a cell phone for free. Make sure that there are no mail in rebates. You might have to pay up front for the phone cost and then mail in the rebate form then the phone would be free. The rebate check that comes to you in the mail takes 4 to 6 weeks before you receive it.

You are NOT supposed to get a free phone. You get the new customer price of a new phone. Some are free. Most are discounted. The new customer price of the Evo is $199.99.

Yes it is true. You can also get a free phone a lot of times if you add a line to your plan. I suggest going to www.shaunvague.acnrep.com They can help you with adding a line and saving you money. A percentage also is given to non-profit organizations for programs for handicap, mentally challenged, youths etc. So I strongly suggest going here.

If you want a very corny phone that only makes and receives calls and maybe sends text messages, yeah it will be free. Try to get a camera or extra features in the selection and it will start to cost you when you buy.
