Viruses are different from spyware. Viruses generally shutdown programs while spyware programs will run stable but send information to unwanted third parties.

Well its quite simple =]

Spyware are files or items that basically "Spy" or "Track" what you are doing. Although the name sounds bad, not all spyware is bad.

A virus is just a really annoying thing that comes in applications or other files. They can track you, and some can even destroy your computer. There mad to just piss you off.

Adware is also just another thing to piss you off, it adds other things to your computer and like a virus can change your settings.

If you have a computer I suggest straight away getting anti-virus software before even using the Internet.

Here are some awesome programs that can be downloaded for free

For your anti-virus software I suggest using this:

It will protect you from most virus.

As for the adware (I use this program and have no trouble with it)

That's also a free download

Good Luck and Have Fun

Viruses usually attacks the ROM or hard disks(if it is a big threat to computer) and the virus should be removed as fast as you can or if attacks the ROM or disks must be replaced.

But Spywares come from Internet websites(not all). They contain some numbers and words in notepad. They can link with others in internet and can steal useful information from your computer. They can also download viruses from internet.

Also viruses may come from storage devices(like CD,Pen Drive,Floppy e.t.c)and internet but spywares come from internet.

The best Anti-viruses are AVG,Avast,Mc Afee,Norton e.t.c
The best Anti-spywares are spyware doctor,AVG Anti-spywarese.t.c

You should only have a package of anti-virus and one package of anti-spyware. Those are program and would hang up others if there are more than one.

The latest development is that anti-virus package would also have anti-spyware capability; or anti-virus and anti-spyware are packed together as one package. (see McAfee and Nortion 2008)

Viruses are in your computer to destroy and make your computer slower, spyware are in there to steal your information(like creditcard numbers).
