I usually can figure movies out, but I have NO idea what that business with the Predator's weapon meant. Were we supposed to know who that woman was?

I believe they were treating the ending as if it were a prequel to the actual "Aliens" story. We find the Predator's advanced technology, reproduce it, and now we have a fighting chance. I think this is what happens to lead up to the future fights against the aliens seen in the Aliens movies.

They plan to copy the technology and attack the enemy planet how obvious can it get "this technology is not for our planet" so what other planet will they use it on Jupiter? So they wish to attack the predators.

when the guy handed over that weapon, i was saying to myself, get it back , get it back... i took it as now they have technology that is more advanced than theirs.......come on, hence the "what if, question........."
