no the wii will not recognise virtual console games that were downloaded from a computer and the wii won't let you transfer your virtual console games onto the memory card. My bf works at a gaming store and also is in love with the wii!!!

First off the only other places you can store VC games is a SD card. The real reason for the SD card is for music and pictures (that is why they have the picture channel) to watch on the Wii. The only thing you can do is save the VC game on the SD card to free up space, but if you want to play it again you have to put it back onto the Wii hard drive. currently the Wii does not read the SD card yet for game data.
