I haven't been dating this guy very long, and I've been wondering when he was going to try to kiss me.
We have been dating since christmas day and everytime we would end a date or go our seperate ways, he would kiss the top or side of my head. Which I am extremely attracted to. (The fact that he is a gentleman about not wanting to kiss me on the first date and respecting me.)
Don't get me wrong though, I REALLY want him to kiss me. Words can't describe how much I want him to kiss me.
Well anyway, tonight as he was leaving my house he hugged me and started going in for the kiss... And before I could even think I had turned my head and looked away. I REALLY didn't want to! But for some reason I did. He just laughed about it and said I was being cryptic, but attracting.
Why do you think I pulled away? The only thing I can think of is that I haven't had the best track record with guys and maybe I'm just scared??? Help me! Because for once, I have no idea how to answer or fix this...

I don't know. Maybe it's because you didn't expect he would go for the kiss and it caught you by surprise. Just make sure you don't give him the wrong message as he might interpret you pulling away as a rejection.

Well im sure you really care and don't want to do the same things that have not worked in the past, it sounds like the guy is all right with taking slow, you could say something to him but I would just wait and kiss him next time, and ask if you were worth the wait. LOL Don't over think it, it sounds like things are going fine.

I agree scared, fear. You are not comfortable around him yet. It might of been because he took to long also to do the kiss. He should of done it bam in one milisecond fast that way you wouldn't of noticed he was going in for it and wouldn't of had the chance to think about it and turn away. To fix this you initiate the kiss next time. Instead of waiting to get comfortable around him you let him get comfortable around you.

I think you should give him a call or text him to explain what happened that night. I'm sure he'll understand coz he's a gentleman. Then be ready next time but don't anticipate for it. He might not do it again maybe not that soon, of course he will be a bit shy.

It sounds like you may be a little upset that he hasn't tried to kiss you sooner and after all that time your wondering / worried about how it's going to be. Try it again and you make the first move.

You could die tomorrow. Carpe diem, and kiss him if you want to. You shouldn't have to act all demure just so he thinks of you in a certain way. If he thinks of you as a tart then that's his loss..who would want to be with a guy who was so backwards that he thinks its ok for him to have needs but his girl has to be "pure". Seriously, go for it. He will love it, and just as importantly, you will too.

Then you're probably right, there. You're scared. There's nothing to be ashamed of there, though. The time will come when you're not scared. If you are really worrying about it, your boyfriend seems like a good guy to talk to about it, if you feel comfortable about it.

You're probably a little scared; but go ahead and kiss the dude anyway. Neither one of you will die from it.
