Are these good scores? I'm a freshmen in high school right now. So i still have a lot more to learn. But i've already taken algebra 1 and am in geometry. I'm also in an advanced english class. So do you think when i take the test for real once i'm a junior or senior i will have a better score, considering that i continue taking those advance classes?
I want to get into a school like uw madison or um twin cities

Honestly... no they're not the greatest scores. But you're only a freshman and have plently of time for improvement.

If you go to www.collegeboard.com you can type in an individual school and see what the average SAT score and score range for an individual school is. Here's the link for UW Madison : http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/academictracker/servlet/ACTServlet?pg=2&collegeId=1203

Personally those scores are bad. It depends on what college or university you want to consider. Because the high score in SAT Test is 2400 points:
1) writing: 800 points total
2) math: 800 points
3) English(comprehension, vocabulary, etc.): 800 points

So, I give you advice: Pay attention to what's being taught. Also, I would point out, I know several of my friends who got a perfect on the SAT Test and they still didn't get into Harvard.

Though its important to have a good score on SAT, its very good to have exta stuff on your resume. Start early in your Freshman year and build on it. I believe you can do it.

If you were a junior or senior, these would be pretty average scores, but for a freshman, they are very good. I think you will do far better with two more years of experience, and you have a good shot at getting into the colleges you are targeting.
