ok... i'm a 16 year old girl and have always been a "good" kid, never gotten drunk, virgin, never done drugs. why is it that all i want to do now is exactly the opposite? i think i feel that i've been too "good " for 2 long. but i know i shouldn't do any of those things at my age...

At some point, most teens go through a rebellious stage. That's what you are experiencing. I suggest not giving in, but if you do be careful!

I was always a good girl. Then, at 17 I decided I didn't want to be good anymore. I lost my virginity and experimented with drugs. I didn't try alcohol at that point, but I did start smoking cigarettes. I wasn't very smart in my choices (didn't use protection), but I got lucky and was okay. I don't regret it, but I know it was stupid.

maybe you're feeling "rebellious"? or as if you want more excitement.

i think that starting a new activity like joining a gym, taking karate, finding a new hobby is more interesting. you might get a makeover, find a new friend... help someone who can't do things for themselves.. walk your dog, etc.

sex drugs and rock and roll are what we didn in the '70's.. that's when i was a teenager... i'd rather have been a teen today -- so much more to do.

take care and try to stay away from the drugs and sex. people who do drugs and have sex at 16 aren't "bad" but i'd bet you dollars to donuts they have issues.

take care.

I feel the same way! I always hear about these parties and things but i have never done any either... but I really dont think that I am gonna. I feel that I really shouldn't drink until I am 21 and even then I dont think that I will do it alot! I also don't think that i should go with a guy just because everyone else is. I am gonna wait until i am married. But evey no and a then i kinda feel like I am missing out on the fun. Dont feel bad cuz ur not the only one!!

It's all has to do with curiosity. I started when I was 13, but the drugs and beer never stopped me from knowing my responsibilty and what is important. if you decide to experiment don't let it take control of our life. only do what you feel confortable with. About sex, I think you should only give it up to the person you love and want to spend your life with.

Well, maybe if you had overprotective parents you might rebel.

When I was young, I had sex at 15, and did it obsessively. I tripped alot with shrooms when I was 17-20, and I started drinking alcohol at about 13.

I never did heroin or cocaine, I just like shrooms for the trips. Its not addicting.

You might want to have some fun, try a few shrooms and get drunk, you will love it.

getting sick of following all the rules all the time while those around you break them and are having more fun? it's not uncommon at your age to start feeling like breaking the rules you've always followed. everyone will do something they're not meant to at some point during their teenage years, often more. if people's parents are strict it makes us want to break the rules even more as we get older.

Hormones, the unknown. Stick to your guns, and resist the temptation, and a few years later you'll be thankful you did. I sure am.
